What is the easiest way to get from the airport to downtown? We will not be renting a car, but will be using public transportation. TIA
I took the bus after having a pint of Guinness at one of the bars in terminals FYI:

Otherwise most airports in the capitol cities of countries in the world have taxi stands FYI:

Take Aircoach or Dublin Express. Very easy. Check out their websites for more info
The easiest is to walk out front and get in the taxi line. It took maybe twenty minutes to get downtown. It was worth a few extra euros after an international flight, in my opinion.
-The "easiest" way is a taxi. It picks you up in front of the terminal and drops you off in front of your accomodation.
The airport buses are also reliable and easy. Just research which has a stop closest to your accomodation. It will be cheaper but will involve some walking with luggage.
I've done both.
For first-time travelers to Dublin, a taxi is much easier than the bus, picks you up without any delay, takes you directly to your hotel— all for only the added cost of what a pint of Guinness runs.
We took a taxi. It was easy, inexpensive and took us right to where we were going.
It also provided us with a lot of laughs. The driver was great. At one point, he realized that the street he was planning to take was one way the other direction. So he turned around and backed down the street!
For two or more people encumbered with luggage the door to door service of a taxi is the better way to go.
The aircoach is a more economical way to get into the city, but unless your accommodation is located right at a drop off point you'll then have to find your way there on foot ... or a taxi.
