Best restaurants in Dingle gluten free

My wife and I will be traveling and staying in dingle the first week in October and our hotel has advised us to make some dinner reservations. My wife is gluten sensitive and so I’m turning to this handy forum for recommendations that will meet her needs maybe from some folks with the same sensitivity that eat there regularly? Or recently?

I just googled your question and came up with quite a few including Out of the Blue which is wonderful.

I don't have any restaurants to offer but I will suggest that perhaps your wife might want to try something containing gluten (particularly bread) whilst in Ireland. I've read lots of comments, particularly on the RS Facebook page, of Americans with sensitivity to gluten often find that when eating in Europe they don't suffer any ill effects.

Of course if she's a coeliac then ignore my suggestion.

I am not gluten free; however, we did dine at Out of the Blue in Dingle, and it was one of our favorite restaurants of our 3-week trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland. We also loved Land to Sea in Dingle. These 2 restaurants in Dingle were our top 2 favorite restaurants.

All restaurants in Ireland are required to identify gluten in any dish on their menu, as it is a common allergen.

Thanks all for the information. We did some more homework and made our bookings based on some of these recommendations.

We sometimes travel with a friend with Lupis, and she's never had a problem matching her weird diet. A beef hamburger on a gluten free bun with non-dairy cheese always got a raised eyebrow. Everyone has detailed menus, including a separate allergy menu at some places.

We've been to Dingle twice, and Out of the Blue doubled their prices between 2023 and 2025. We're not big enough foodies to spend 35Euros for an entree. I wouldn't expect to need reservations in October.

The Find Me Gluten Free app can be very helpful. I used it in Ireland but wasn’t in Dingle so don’t have specific suggestions unfortunately, but I just did a quick search and see quite a few places with recent reviews. If you’re on Facebook, the group Celiac Travel might have some good suggestions too!

No need to try wheat just to see what happens. Why risk getting sick if there are alternatives? 🤷‍♀️
