We are a family of three that will be staying in Kenmare for 3 or so nights.. We have a 9 year old son and would like to stay in a B&B that would be a convenient base for the ROK.
Any thoughts?
Sent you a PM.

We really enjoyed our stay at http://ashfieldkenmare.com/ Our room had a king bed and a second twin, would be good for three of you. The hosts were very friendly, breakfast was good, other guests were fun. The B&B is a half a mile or so from the town center so walking to town takes some planning. We drove to town (as we were hiking most days and really didn't need any additional miles) in like 2 minutes and there was a ton of parking by the church a 100 yard walk from the main town area. They give a discount for a three night stay and are exactly as they promise. Very good for the RofK and also the Beara P.
We stayed at Oldchurch B&B a couple of years ago and can happily recommend it. It is located across from the golf course and is a few minutes’ walk into town. The rooms were spacious and clean; the rooms on the back had a nice view of the garden. Helen is a lovely host. http://www.oldchurchkenmare.com/
We stayed at Brooklane Hotel Kenmare in the so called Studio for 3 nights.

Was great. Good breakfast and dinner in the pub/restaurant.
Walking distance to town center.

Direct on the Ring of Kerry
If you have not yet discovered, a lot of hotel rooms. In Ireland have a double and a twin.
Willow Lodge, stayed there in 2002 and again in 2016. The couple who run the B&B are very personable, we met only the wife in 2002 and the husband in 2016. Very vivid memories of this stop, and we made a point to return. Kenmare is a good call as a place to stay for the Ring of Kerry. You can easily walk to the downtown area from this B&B.
Thank you all for the great tips!
I had a pleasant stay at

It was convenient to the N-71 & N-70 routes, and it was a short walk to the town center. The hosts were very hospitable; the room and breakfast were quite good.
We just booked 2 nights at the OldChurch House....Seems like a perfect place!
