Hello I am planning a 10 day trip to Ireland and was wondering if the route I'm planning makes sense.
Dublin- 2 nights
Galway- 3 nights
Doolin- 2 nights
Dingle- 2 nights
I will not be renting a car so will o let be using public transportation.
I just don't know if it makes sense to end in Dingle it doesn't seem like the airport is close to there
If anyone can make any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated !!!
I am not familiar with public transportation in Ireland but we have flown into Shannon and out of Dublin and both in and out of Shannon. If you are ending your trip in Dingle Shannon makes the most sense as a departure airport.
Shannon is the closest airport but it will involve a couple of bus changes (Tralee and Limerick) and just under 5 hours to get from Dingle to Shannon Airport.
To get to Dublin would be an all day affair by bus.
However, you could take the bus to Tralee and then the train to Dublin. No trains directly to Shannon airport.
Get bus to Tralee. Train to Dublin or Bus to Dublin
Get bus to Tralee and on to Farranfore. Fly from Kerry Airport Farranfore to Dublin
