My Son who is late 30s and I are planning a trip to Ireland and would like to know what airline is the best and which to stay clear of these days. We are trying to book with Premium Economy to travel around Sept 18th out of Boston Logan for possible 8 days.
Thanks for all input ....
Please define "best". Google Flights says there are only 4 non stop flights from Boston to Dublin that day. Delta, Jets Blue, and 2 Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus is rated higher on most categories by Skytrax, compared to the other 2. But it doesn't have PE on that flight.
We have been there numerous times on different airlines but our favorite has always been Aer Lingus.
Thank you that has narrowed the choices down and has given me additional info.
We've used Aer Lingus the past two years from Seattle to Dublin. We prefer their Airbus 330-200 configuration with 2 seats in the side rows in economy.
Depending on what parts of Ireland you want to visit, you might choose to fly into Shannon. Aer Lingus has one direct flight from Boston every day, from what I can see.
Fun fact: when he flies back, he can go through US customs and immigration at Dublin Airport (Shannon, too). https://www.dublinairport.com/flight-information/travelling-to-usa/usa-preclearance
JetBlue's flights are seasonal, but if they are still running then, their flights are hands-down the best. Their seats have more leg room than any of the major American airlines. I always choose them if its an option.
