We have a few days extra to spend following a 14 day RS tour that ends in Belfast. We are wondering what would be the best way to get to Edinburgh. Fly vs ferry/train? Would love to avoid an airport situation if possible but if there is a huge time or cost difference it might not make sense. We will fly home out of Dublin and assume we pretty much have to fly from Edinburgh to Dublin, and try to coordinate the flight back to the states later the same day if that's even possible. As always, your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure to leave a good cushion of time (perhaps the previous day) for getting to Dublin prior to your flight home since they will be on different tickets. Any problem with the flight from Edinburgh to Dublin, can have a chain reaction to your next flight without sufficient time built in.
