Belfast to Dublin, transfer

We are ending our tour in Belfast with RS. We are flying out of Dublin the next day so I was looking at Aircoach from Belfast to Dublin Center. However, I was wanted to see Newgrange and Knowth (Boyne Valley) so I was looking for a different travel option. I looked at mydaytrip (driver and car) and they will make the stop in the Boyne Valley but charge additonal fees for every hour stopped in Boyne Valley. I read that it takes around 3 hours to see the entire sight. The private car plus the hourly fee makes it quite pricey.

Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated.

What if you took the train to Drogheda and hired your driver for just your time in Newgrange and Knowth? The driver could return you to the train station and you could finish your journey by train.

What time do you end up in Belfast? It looks as if the last time to book a ticket is 2pm.

Make sure you prebook the tours to see Newgrange and Knowth. They do get busy and book up quickly. Don't turn up on speck as you could have a very long time waiting to get on a tour or not get on one at all...

Have you looked into train travel? We did the train from Dublin to Belfast and it was great. Of course, you still need to get to the Dublin airport.
