I will be checking out of my hotel in Belfast and need to go back to Dublin to catch the ferry to Holyhead in Wales. I will have gone to Belfast by train from Dublin, but I'm not sure if that is the best method to go back to Dublin since I'm headed to the ferry to Wales. Any ideas?

I think you'll want to return by train, too. From Connolly train station, it looks like you can take bus #53 to the Dublin Ferry Port/Docklands; see http://journeyplanner.transportforireland.ie/nta/TTB/EFA03__0000068e_TP.pdf.

Thank you, Laura. My ferry check-in time is by 2:00 pm. What time do you think I should leave Belfast in order to have enough time to make these transfers?

Thank you all for your responses. I will take the train from Belfast to Dublin and an Express Bus from Dublin to the ferry port.
