Hello all, I will be in Belfast for the second to last day of my trip to Ireland this summer (a Saturday) before my flight out of Dublin on Sunday at noon. Based on google maps directions it looks to be about a two hour drive to Dublin airport where we'll drop off our rental before getting on the plane home. Assuming this is all accurate I'm planning to leave Belfast by car around 7:00 AM Sunday morning. So my main question is, does this sound reasonable and could traffic be a problem? If this sounds tight would you recommend simply leaving Belfast earlier 5:00 or 6:00 AM for example or would it be wiser to simply drive to Dublin late Saturday night to be safe? Thanks.
Greetings from Ireland.
On a Sunday the highway from Belfast to Dublin will be very quiet. At 7am, most of the nation will still be in bed!
You need 3 hours before a flight to the US direct according to the Dublin Airport website (I think this is exaggerated and sense its to maximise your time i their duty-free shops)... However, for US direct flights you have to clear US customs and immigration in Dublin and in fairness to the Dublin Airport, that can take foreverrrrr!

We actually have a connection in London so it's not US direct, does that make any difference?
