We're flying from Belfast City Airport to Glasgow at 2:40. We're staying in Portrush the night before. Our plan is to drive from Portrush to Belfast (1 hr?) in the morning, visit the Titanic for about an hour, drive to the airport (17 minutes?), return the car and check our bags. (we'll check in on-line and print our boarding passes prior). I'm thinking that we can do it if we leave Portrush at 8:30, be at the museum with pre-purchased tickets at 10:00 when it opens, visit for 1 hour, drive to the airport and turn in our Hertz rental car and be ready to check the bags and go thru security by 12:00, leaving us 2 1/2 hours before the flight leaves. Does this sound do-able? Can we see enough of the museum in an hour to make it worthwhile? How far is the rental car return facility from the airport? Is the airport a large one? Does security there take forever? Thanks for any assistance you can provide

The website for the Titanic Experience says the average visit is 1.5 to 2.5 hours. As I recall, we were there for about 3 hours - we took the audio tour and then had time on our own to look around further. It's a fabulous museum! Depending on what month you are planning to visit would probably determine how busy the museum might be - a one hour visit would be a "rush" IMHO.
We did not use the airport in Belfast so not able to help you with the other questions.
