Belfast - Queens Quarter or Cathedral Quarter

We are going to be in Belfast for three nights in a couple weeks. Interested in music, art, food. This is going to be the end of our Ireland trip. Want to see both the MAC and the Ulster Museum.

Last spring when we stayed in Glasgow we stayed in the university area and it was a good choice.

Ideas?

Thanks,

Linda

I stayed in the Queens area last year and enjoyed it. It had a neighbourhood feel to it. There were restaurants and pubs and I was comfortable walking around in the evenings.
I would recommend looking into what is on at the Lyric Theatre which is a few minutes walk from the university.

Is it your first time in Belfast? Are you looking for any other suggestions for attractions?

Cathedral quarter is more centralized. I'd stay there. Try the Premiere Inn.

While in Belfast don't miss the Titanic Museum, The Crumlin Road Gaol, take the Black Cab tour of The Troubles, visit St George's Market and do NOT miss having the seafood chowder at Mournes by the Kelly Cellars Pub.

You must also check out what's going to be on at the Black Box while you are there. http://www.blackboxbelfast.com

Have a great 3 day visit!
