Which city would you recommend staying in (as our main hub) - Belfast or Dublin? We would be flying from the IOM. There is no flight directly to Belfast - the closest airport is 14 miles from the city.
We have a group of 5 late 20/early 30 year olds, 3 young children and my husband and I.
We want to chose a VRBO or AirBnB for our 5 nights and not move around.
In addition to which city, does anyone have a recommendation of a place to stay for our group?
AND, what to see in each city and surrounding area that a train or ? can take us to? (Probably not renting a car is best, as we'd have to rent at least 2 vehicles to get around.
Thank you!
So the question is are you traveling to see Ireland or Northern Ireland?
Two separate countries.
What are your interests?
Pretend you are still in college. Research, research, research. No crib notes.
For Belfast, the airport is George Best Belfast City Airport, which is very close in. I can't verify that there are direct flights from IOM.
As the previous comment suggests, a whole lot more information is needed to respond to this inquiry.
A possible solution would be to try and find an AirBnB or VRBO that will accommodate 10 people. Good luck with that.
Except for at Christmas there are no direct flights from the Isle of Man to either Belfast airport (International or City). You have to change in the mainland UK.
With such a large group I think that makes the decision for you as being Dublin, unless the Steam Packet are running one of their infrequent ferries to Belfast.
