Belfast/Giants Causeway vs Ring of Kerry

Hi! I'm planning a trip to Ireland and Scotland. Keeping in mind that I'm already planning to go to the Dingle Peninsula, would you recommend seeing Belfast and the Giants Causeway or driving the Ring of Kerry? I was planning to see Northern Ireland, but someone in my party mentioned doing the Ring instead. We are trying to decide what would be more worthwhile. Thanks!

Can you do the Causeway and Slieve League? I prefer ROK to the Causeway, but what I regret is skipping the Slieve League.

Are you familiar with the geography of Ireland? The Causeway Coast area is about an 8 hour drive from Killarney or Dingle, so unless you have plenty of time you're probably better off staying in the southwest and exploring the attractions in that area. You'll waste an entire day, and wear yourself out in the process, by trying to include NI with a stay in or near the Dingle peninsula.

Thank you for the input...I think we will just stick to the Ring and Dingle and Dublin areas. I was trying to make it work, but want to enjoy the trip😂.

Giants Causeway and the north are wonderful but the ROK and the huge numbers of amazing things to see in a relatively small area makes the ROK tops. Great point too about losing a day driving. You'll love it in the SW - don't for a moment regret or second guess not seeing other things - you can't see it all and Dingle and the ROK are filled with magic and a lifetime of memories. We've spent months there and still haven't begun to exhaust its depths.

Have a GREAT trip!
