Belfast Europa Hotel to Dublin airport

We need to leave Belfast Europa Hotel and arrive at Dublin airport by 12 noon. Is the express bus the best way to do this and does it leave/depart close to the hotel? What time should we leave? Are advance tickets necessary? How long is trip? Will brexit make the border crossing a problem?

Appreciate any help. Thank you, Don

The journey by bus from Belfast to Dublin Airport is usually less than two hours. I'd suggest booking your ticket in advance closer to the time.

No one knows what's happening with brexit, when there was a border checkpoint in the past, you could have been sitting in traffic for 30/40 minutes depending on traffic on the Newry, dundalk Road. There used to be soldiers on the northern side and customs on the southern side.

Hopefully a deal will be reached and the road will remain clear of checks.

The Belfast Europa is right across the street from the bus stop to the airport. I would suggest advance tickets as our bus on a Saturday afternoon was full. Why chance it? Takes about 2 hours. You can also go thru US Customs at the Dublin Airport so you avoid US Customs back home. (one of a few airports in the world that offers).
I also suggest The Crown Bar also across the street from the Europa. A fantastic Victorian Era bar. Also don't miss the Titanic Museum.
