Belfast day trip with luggage - doable?

Only have 1 day available, starting in Dublin and ending in Glasgow. Would like to see Belfast highlights in-between. Rick's Day Trip suggestion is taking an early train from Dublin (arrival 9:45), doing City Hall, sectarian neighborhoods and Titanic Museum. From there I would catch an evening flight to Glasgow. Some advice on 1) is this doable in a day, 2) what to do with luggage, 3) which airport would be best to fly from; 4) how early to arrive at airport for flight (passport control, customs delays, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Fly out of either Belfast or Dublin depending on your schedule and flight availability. It will be a short "domestic" flight regardless of whether you leave from Belfast or Dublin and immigration and customs will not be a concern.

If flying from Dublin or Belfast to Glasgow, there is no immigration or customs on either end. As stated previously, it's just like a domestic flight. (And from Belfast, it's the same country as Glasgow. Both are in the UK.)

There are also no border controls between Ireland and Northern Ireland.

If you're spending the day in Belfast, why go back to Dublin to fly to Glasgow? Belfast has two airports and both have flights on this route.

Easyjet flies from both Belfast International and Belfast City. Aer Lingus flies from Belfast City. Belfast City is closer to downtown.

What I did was a 'Taxi Tour" of Belfast and then had the driver drop me off at the airport when the tour was done.

Thanks all. I should have clarified which of the 2 "Belfast" airports would work best. Wasn't planning on returning to Dublin for the flight.
