We are having to take the bus from Belfast to Dublin due to rail line work being done.
How early do you think we should arrive at the Europa Buscentre? Have never traveled by bus in Europe.
No more than 15 minutes or so. All the bus stands are in a long straight line the length of the bus station. So all you need to do is to use the restrooms then find your stand.
If you feel you need extra time say 30 minutes- but more than that you'll just be bored. Until the new bus station opens in Autumn 2025 it is not the most exciting bus station.
There is also a rail replacement bus running from Lanyon Place Station to Newry Station (a 45 minute journey) for each normal train departure, with connecting trains from Newry to Dublin. This is the bus-train timetable- https://www.translink.co.uk/timetables?routeHashCode=018f00481b41cba7b9bb52b5fbcfe55625c6dae9f044d64d8936f1b5e39e89e3&transportMode=Train&route=UG&direction=H
Translink are selling through bus/rail tickets- https://www.translink.co.uk/
Thank you so much for the info!
I saw the bus/train option but thought the bus straight through would be just as good.
I do appreciate the response.
