My wife and I would like to spend one day on the beach during our trip in early June. Do you have a suggestion for a secluded, but nice location?
Can you give us any idea which of Ireland's many coastal areas you plan to visit? I understand the beaches in County Wexford, northeast of Wexford town, are among the most sandy and sunny.
We plan to spend time in Wexford and Galway.
Wexford.
There is a very long, beautiful sandy beach from Raven Point to Ballinesker. It tends to be quiet at the north end at Ballinesker, quite busy at Curracloe, where there is a lifeguard on duty and a also little further south at Culleton's Gap, where there are car parks. From there it is quiet and isolated for another three miles south to Raven Point.
