Hi,
We are planning to be in Northern Ireland for 3 nights. What would be a good central town to stay in for those 3 nights? We prefer smaller communities and will have a car. I am also open to air Bnbs or bed and breakfast options.
What are you wanting to see in NI? We stayed near Portrush which is pretty central to the most popular spots—Antrim coast, Bushmill’s, Derry, Ulster American Folk Park. We day tripped to Belfast to see the Titanic Exhibit.
Thank you for your response. Yes to all of those places! Any favorite bnb’s or air bnbs?
Can’t help with a place to stay. The air bnb we stayed in has closed.
We spent one night at The Old Inn, Crawfordsburn before driving the Antrim coast. We ended the day in Portrush.
I highly recommend Bushmill's Inn (https://www.bushmillsinn.com/ ). We stayed there for 4 nights and had easy access to Dunluce Castle (2 miles), Carrick-a-Rede (8 miles), Giant's Causeway (2 miles), Londonderry (35 miles), Portrush, the Dark Hedges, etc. Belfast is an hour south and a great place to disembark after your trip. Bushmill's Inn has an outstanding restaurant and is very close to Royal Portrush Golf Club, site of the British Open in 2019. This is a can't miss Inn, and fills up fast.
