We will be in Ireland over the June Bank Holiday weekend. Other than banks being closed will most businesses be open? Especially restaurants/pubs and tourist sites? We contemplate staying in Slane for two nights either Thursday-Friday, Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday of the weekend where the holiday is Monday June 6, 2016.
Same question for spillover into Ireland due to the UK's Spring Break Holiday May 30, 2016. In that instance we are contemplating a one night stay in Avoca either May 27, 28 or 29. We have heard that while it is a UK holiday weekend, many UK folks visit Ireland over holiday weekends. Will the small towns on the east coast south of Dublin be overrun?
