I’m planning a girls trip in July and am having trouble finding a modestly price B&B in Galway for 3 adults. I’ve run out of options from Rick Steves guidebook because of availability (2 seems to have closed) or price (other recommendations are too pricey).
Could someone recommend a place from personal experience. It would only be for 1 or 2 nights.
Suggestions if no-one else comes up with anything...
There is a Travelodge close to the city centre
The Galway Tourism site has a list of B&Bs in the city.
Seacrest is a lovely B&B about a 10 minute drive from downtown Galway. Super hosts and excellent breakfast! Stayed there for 3 nights. Very quiet and host Derek was very helpful in arranging a taxi for a night in town.

Thank you to both people who kindly replied. Seacrest wasn’t available. I’m willing to expand my search to outskirts of Galway. The place would have to have a larger room to accomodate 3 adults - not easy, but I’ve managed to find for all stops except Galway!
I have recently been looking at Galway both for next month and for June. While recommendations from here are nice, I suggest you head to booking.com and Air BnB and see what seems to be available. I get the feeling things book early. I compare the reviews from those sites with reviews on Google Maps to get a broader overview.
I have lost it, now but someone in the last 2 weeks wrote a response for bnbs in Ireland, with an overall listing of bnbs in Ireland that helped me out in Dingle.
Edit: it was Lola - thank you!

We've stayed twice at The Prague House. They have at least one room with a three singles. Rooms are simple, but breakfast is fine and it's a short walk to the center of town. They don't use Booking.com, so you have to Google them to get a contact (I have their email if you PM me). If you Google "Irish B&B Owners" there are several sites with listings for B&Bs that refuse to knuckle under to the Booking.com commissions.
We also enjoyed 7 Boutique Hotel that was found on booking.com.
Although I haven't had to resort to it in Galway, in Oban, I literally walked the streets using Google Maps Streetview reading the signs on the building entrances, and found many B&Bs that were otherwise hidden. The signs rarely have an email, but a specific search usually pulls one up. I've never had to resort to using the phone.
Thank you for these suggestions! I’d really prefer to deal directly with owners instead of 3rd party like booking.com. I would only use them as a desperate resort. So far I’m going by Rick Steves guide or personal referrals. Thanks again! :-)
I spent a few days in Galway on a girls trip in December 2018 and loved our AirBnb accommodations! Location was very convenient, and our host Marie was wonderful! Lovely breakfast and a chat every morning, and she was a wealth of knowledge and recommendations. https://abnb.me/p30kbaRb7Gb “ City Centre Chic. Breakfast included”
Thank you for the suggestion. However, we have made the decision to stay in Doolin instead. Much easier to find lodging and seem to have better access to Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher.
