Last minute. My parents and 2 other adults are travelling to Dublin. They need an affordable place to stay for 2 nights. Sept 7-9. Any suggestions where to look? Even outside of city a bit? We have checked a few sources. I ordered Rick Steves guidebooks but they won’t arrive until next week. All last minute. Panicking a bit.
Look at the Premier Inn chain. York street is convenient to tram from airport ( it stops outside front door). Princes Street is a little closer to Old town
Don’t panic.
Define affordable.
Staycity Apartments
Look in the Ballsbridge area. A number of large convention hotels but also short-stay-apartments and B&Bs. Longish walk to the city center but on train and bus lines.
We are staying at The Schoolhouse Hotel - perhaps a bit more than they want to pay but it looked so terrific!
Consider Pembroke Townhouse in the Ballsbridge area. Not super fancy but not as expensive as some places. Just across from the US Embassy.
