A friend of ours passed on to us a treasure trove of very detailed road maps of Ireland, but they were printed in 2010. Can I rely on these for my upcoming trip, or has road construction over the past 8 years been so prolific that I should go ahead and just buy my own of the latest versions?
My guess is that they would be fine. Roads don't change that much in 8 years. Roads get repaved, intersections changed some but whole new roads don't appear and old roads don't suddenly disappear.
Change is slow in Ireland, as is the pace of life. Old maps work fine for the most part!
The last parts of some of the interurban motorways were completed in 2010 so you may not be up to date in that regard. Don't think too much has changed outside of that.
