I’m looking for a pub in Derry where people regularly get together and sing. I don’t mean live bands or scheduled performances, just a place where locals might start singing traditional songs over a few drinks. Does that still happen anywhere, and if so, which pub and what night would be best?

According the thesession.org, Sardino's Bar has a mixed song/music/poetry session at 5pm on Sundays. Other "mostly tunes" sessions will often have the occasional song. The Derry Bar has a Thursday 10pm session, for example.

I did a quick search and saw several references to first Thursdays at Tinney's Bar, but I couldn't find anything current, so if you're there on the first Thursday, stop in there?
