Aran Islands From Galway to Doolin

I am researching the ferry from Galway to Aran Islands (Inishmor). Considering spending the night on the island and then departing from Inishmor to Doolin with plans to tour Dingle Peninsula. Is this practical? Doable? Will be traveling without car hire. Can I purchase a one way ticket from Inishmor to Doolin while on the island? I will be traveling in mid September. Any suggestions and recommendations are most welcome.

Sadly, the Galway City-Aran Islands ferry service ended years ago due to lack of business. I last took it in 1998. However, head 23 miles west of the city along the coast road to Rossaveel, from where you can indeed hop the ferry to any of the three islands. Aran Island Ferries provides the service. Check out all the details at: aranislandferries.com. It's about a 90-minute trip to Inishmore. Then from Inishmore, take Doolin Ferries to the village. Details at: doolinferries.com. Travel time is about an hour.

After you land, treat yourself to trad and some grand beers at any of Doolin's four pubs! O'Connor's is the granddaddy of them all.
