Aran islands ferry- sell out?

I'm traveling to Inishmore in the middle of June 2019. I'm having trouble with Aran Ferries online booking system and I'm reluctant to make the $3/minute phone call to pay that way if unnecessary. My question is, is it possible to just pay when we arrive? Do tickets sell out for the 10:30 ferry (with 8:15 am return)?

Thanks!

Katie

It may matter whether you will be a foot passenger or will be taking a car.

[Never mind--Carol says the Aran ferries don't take cars. I was confusing Aran, Ireland, with Arran, Scotland.]

First of all, these are foot passenger ferries. Unsure about the response above,

I didn’t have any trouble purchasing tickets in advance using their website, so I suggest you check two things. First, is your credit card set up for overseas purchases? Second, are you trying to buy too far in advance?

That said, there was plenty of room on both ferries we took in August last year.

I would not worry about buying ahead. We were told that you could buy day off. The weather can be very iffy and we ended having to skip it.

The ferry doesn't sell out.
You're generally advised to check the weather and sea state forecasts a day or two in advance before you commit to a particular day. Though the vessels are sizeable craft and will seldom cancel, being on one in rough seas can make for an unpleasant crossing - typically not a problem in June however.
I suspect the reason that you're having problems with the online booking system is because you're trying to book too far in advance.

Thanks everyone! Yes, it may have been too far in advance or could have been trying to use my debit card vs. credit. But if we can just pay on arrival we'll do that.
