My family and I are spending a couple of days in Galway.
We were going to book the Jury hotel but have decided to book
a a place just outside of the city and are looking on airb&b.
Does anyone know an apt or area we could look into that is still
close to the city ,but just on the outskirts.

We rented an apartment from Airbnb in Galway, but if you can find one the little town of Salthill looks like a nice place to stay in. It is about 5-10 minutes from Galway but right on the beach and with several entertainment options of its own.

I think getting an AirB&B near Galway is an excellent idea. Just make sure you have bus or train service into the city so that you can meet up with all of those wedding guests for a drink or two.
