Earlier I asked whether a senior couple should plan on staying a week in October in Sligo or Galway. The responders all said Galway. Taking their advice we will go to Galway. We will not have a car so need to rent a place where we can safely walk to shops, pubs, etc. Please advise us on the best area of Galway to look. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
