How receptive the staff at Old Grounds Hotel are to holding our luggage until room is ready. We will be arriving early on a Saturday into Shannon Airport. Would like to spend the day exploring Limerick area (without our luggage in tow) prior to checking into the hotel. And we are not renting a vehicle so no place to store the bags. Thanks!

Most hotels will keep your luggage for a while. Why not write them an email and ask? Or check their listings on sites like Trip Advisor or Expedia for other reviews mentioning 'luggage' or 'bags'. It might be listed in the Amenities section of those sites if they offer the service.

Yes, most of them do, especially hotels of this caliber and which cater to business travelers. Bag storage is listed as one of their amenities on booking.com and ViaMichelin,

I'm pretty sure they held our luggage for us last year. My memory about the first few hours after we arrive at our destination are always a little foggy, but I don't think our room was ready yet and we left the luggage and walked around for a bit. The staff there is delightful - sunny dispositions, quick to answer questions and committed to making sure you have a pleasant stay.
