Anyone else on Sept 20 '19 8 day Heart of Ireland tour?

Just booked our second RS tour! Yay! Any feedback on: If you're going, too. If you've been on this tour and your feedback. Ideas for a day or so more on front end as well as end of tour. Thanks! Meg

i took this tour in Sept 2017 and loved it! My itinerary included 3 nights in Dingle, but you will have 2 nights in Dingle and 1 night in Kilkenny.

We stayed one day post-tour and went to the Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin Writers Museum, the National Gallery of Ireland. Wonderful day! One of our friends went to the Epic Immigration Museum and said it was very interesting and informative.

There's so much gorgeous scenery and history, I was amazed at all I didn't know about Ireland. I appreciate the people and the country and the hardships they have endured. And they still have the gift of gab and joy in music and living!
You will enjoy it!

My DH and I did this tour in May 2017 and loved it. We really enjoyed the Guinness Storehouse (I know it's pegged as a tourist trap.) We visited St. Patrick's Cathedral and Christ Church. For a few extra euros you can climb the bell tower at Christ Church and ring the bells. The Little Museum of Dublin offers a service where you can schedule an hour visit with a Dubliner. No charge---it's a volunteer service call City of a Thousand Welcomes. it is limited to 2 visitors per ambassador. https://www.littlemuseum.ie/cotw-booking-form We also recommend Brannigan's Pub for a meal (9 Cathedral St). The Famine memorial is sobering and effective. If you have time the Big Bus tours are a great way to get oriented to the city. Have a great time!

We booked on this tour as well and is our first RS tour. We will be arriving a few days early and will spend 1 night in Dublin and 2 in Ennis before the tour begins.

darn, we're missing you by 2 days, our 8 day Heart of Ireland tour starts on September 22nd. We are flying to LGW arriving on the 20th, spending the night near Heathrow then flying to Shannon and spending the night before our tour in Ennis. Post tour we are spending 2 days in Dublin where we will NOT go to the Guinness time suck, we were in Dublin for one day on a cruise a couple of years ago and ended up spending ALL of our time in there. We will explore Dublin before we fly to Paris.

Shoot, I was trying to do the same thing. We are doing the RS 8 day, 09/13/19 and then spending two weeks on our own after. If you can get there early, try the Skellig Michael, It is still open.... weather permitting.
