We will be in Galway for two full days in early November without a car. I am badly hoping to get one somewhat clear weather day to do an organized tour of the Cliffs of Moher (including Kinvara and Dunguaire Castle). I have gotten the impression from other comments that if the weather is terrible there is nothing to be seen at all, and we'd be better off skipping the Cliffs.
Is there another area (within a day trip zone) that might be more suitable as a foul weather alternative? I found a Connemara/ Cong/ Kylemore Abbey day trip that sounds interesting and seems like it would still have things to see even in bad weather. Any recommendations for other general areas or tours leaving from Galway?
