Any questions with 8 days in Ireland Itinerary

We are traveling to Ireland in spring of 2024. We are a couple, both 47.
Day 1- Land in Dublin at 07:00 AM and take the bus to Galway / stay in Galway
Day 2- One day tour around Aran Island / stay in Galway
Day 3- Pick up the rental car, drive to Dingle via Burren, Cliffs of Moore walk , Killimer Ferry Terminal, Tarbert / stay Dingle
Day 4 - Slea Head Drive / stay Dingle
Day 5- Adare, drive to Kilkenny / stay Kilkenny
Day 6- Glendalough, drive to Dublin and drop the rental car /stay Dublin
Day 7- One day tour around Dublin / stay Dublin
Day 8- Leave at 12:00 PM

My questions as following:
1. How about the weather of the Aran Island in the end of April?
2. I wonder if it is faster via Killimer Ferry, or via Ennis, Limerick on Day 3.
3. Please suggest some stopovers on Day 5 and Day 6, besides Adare.

Thanks in advance,

How about the weather of the Aran Island in the end of April?

That's when I went and all I needed was a lined raincoat.

Please suggest some stopovers on Day 5 and Day 6, besides Adare.

The Rock of Cashel.

How about the weather of the Aran Island in the end of April?

We'll let you know at the start of May.... Sorry that may sound facetious but it isn't meant to be. Know one knows - you could be lucky and get blue skies, sunshine and calm seas. Or it could be dull damp and misty with calm seas, or stormy with very rough seas... The weather is unpredictable!

The Killimer Ferry is shorter than going via Limerick, but may not be that much quicker. The roads are slower and although it is a frequent serice, you need to plan extra time if you just miss a ferry.

Day 5 - Rock of Cashel has been suggested. There is the ruined Hore Abbey which is close by below the rock. This is less well known with fewer visitors but a lovely place for a picnic. There is also Cahir with its ruined castle too.

Day 6 Glendalough is the main attraction, but there is also Powerscourt Gardens.

Thanks for your answers,
The weather is unpredictable. i hesitate about the self-driving of Sky Road & R335 may be more worthwhile than 1-day tour of Aran Island.

On a bright sunny day, the Sky Drive must rank as one of the best short drives in the world. When you say R335 do you mean the drive through the Doo Lough Pass to Louisburgh and along the coast to Westport?

County Galway and Connemara has some wonderful scenery and with a day you can see plenty of it. On your way to Clifden for the Sky Drive, do a detour to the tiny village of Roundstone with its harbour and one of the best views of the Twelve Bens (mountain peaks).

Either continue on the coast road to Clifden or backtrack to pick up the unclassified 'bog road' that cuts across the coastal loop across one of the last surviving large areas of natural peat bog left in Ireland.

After Clifden, it is a lovely drive along the N59 past Kylemore Abbey and Gardens and along the side of Killary Harbour to Leenaun . You might be interested in doing the short detour to Aasleagh Falls before picking up the R335 through Doo Lough Pass and its links to the Irish Famine.

From Westport, return along N59to pick up the R336 at Leenaun to Maam Cross and then take the N59 back to Galway. If time allows do the short detour just after Oughterard to the ruins of Aughnanure Castle.

This will let you see some of the best scenery in County Galway and also takes you up into County Mayo too.

The Aran Islands are all about limestoine scenery and you will see this in the Burren.

@wasleys, thanks for your comment.
After finish the Galway's itinerary, We will drive to the Dingle Peninsula, and stay for 2 nights. I wonder if we can appreciate the same scenery in the County Galway and Connemara.

No the feel is very different. Dingle is gentle scenery, Galway is more mountainous
