Hello. I am in the final stages of my itinerary and will be spending 4 nights on the Antrim coast with no car. It looks like the 402 bus will be our best friend during the stay. Does this bus use Tap and Pay? Or do I need to have cash for all the bus rides I will be taking. Also, is there a taxi app used in that area that I should download? Something similar to Uber?
strong text hey there yes you can pay card on the bus , however i would have some physical cash on hand if the card machine declines your card or doesnt work , i would have £5 and £10 notes (bills) £20 is sometimes a challenge as bus drivers here in Northern Ireland get drained of their change so if you have a £20 note go buy something like a coffee and get change that way, believe me the bus driver will appreciate the change and remember the UK has 8 coins and change here is worth something so dont be throwing it away! plan your journeys @www.translink.co.uk
