Amsterdam to Ennis; Help!

We are trying to coordinate a Rick Steves Holand tour with an Ireland tour and could use suggestions. We have 1 day to get from Amsterdam to Ennis, Ireland. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. What airport should we fly into (Ireland); is a train ride across central Ireland worth the extra travel time (Cork to Shannon, Dublin to Shannon)?

Even though Shannon airport is close to Ennis there are no nonstop flights so all of the flights (skyscanner.com) are 5-6+ hours. There is a nonstop flight to Cork @ 9:30 AM that gets you there @ 10:30 AM but then you'd need to take a bus (3h one change) or rent a car (2h) to get to Ennis.

You could fly in to Dublin nonstop and then take a bus (3h) to Ennis. Bus 300 takes you all the way to Ennis. I only saw 1 morning flight, 11AM, for this option. Maybe there are different schedules for summer? I picked a random day in March.

EDIT: You could also go from Dublin ~(3h) or Cork ~(2h) to Ennis by train but both involve 1 change. I don't know where the train stations are in relation to the respective airports, you'd need to see if they are seamless or you'd need to take a taxi.

Thank you for all the great advise. So I am not crazy; this is a bit difficult to coordinate. Thanks again!!
