So ... we are headed to Ireland from April 4th - April 11th. Our first two days are in Dublin and then we will be going on a tour of south and southwest Ireland before heading back to Dublin. We will be in Galway Thursday night and thought that Trim would be the perfect place to stay on Friday night before getting up and catching our 11:30 AM flight back to the States. The problem is EVERYTHING is sold out in Trim. So now we are looking for another option that is about a 2 hour drive from Galway to stay on Friday night. that is not Dublin. If anyone has any options that would be awesome.
Near the airport, Rick suggests Howth. www.bandbireland.com does currently reflect a couple of B&B vacancies in that town.
Thank you. That is one of the towns we are looking into. I'll check out the lodging options tonight.
Drogheda is also very close to the airport.
Drogheda is a nice town. We stayed in Malahide (even closer) and found the youthful music venues to be quite entertaining,
Thanks for all of the great options. We will dig into all three of these tonight. This is the last piece of the puzzle we need to fit into place before we head out in 16 days!!!!!
