Airport transportation for early flights in Dublin & Edinburgh

We have early flights booked in Dublin (735a RyanAir departure) and Edinburgh (645a departure). We are staying in the center of each town at Moxie hotels which don't have front desk help. How early should we leave for the airport for each flight so we have enough time?

Also, should we use Uber or would we have to worry that no one would be available at 430-5a in the morning. I've never used Uber abroad and don't know if it operates the same way as in the U.S. Or, would it be possible to arrange a taxi that early?

That depends on many factors. Such as your destination and if you're planning to check in luggage.

Just FYI, Uber doesn't work as a car sharing app in Dublin. All it will do is call you a taxi for an additional fee.

We'll be carrying on our luggage. But I still wonder what transportation options exist so early. Does Lyft operate abroad?

There are taxis and buses. The bus between central Edinburgh and the airport runs all night.

In Dublin the Aircoach 700 runs every 30 minutes from the City Centre and the Dublin Express 782 (to Belfast) runs every 30 minutes from 3.30am.
The Dublin Bus #41 (a citybus service) also runs every 30 minutes from 4am.

So wherever you are staying in the City Centre there are public transport options.

The 41 starts from Lower Abbey Street, just round the corner from the Moxy (down Marlborough street and turn left), from Stop 292 (the 3rd stop along the street), just after the Silver Penny Wetherspoons Pub.
