We are dropping off a car at the airport and need a transfer to our hotel in Dublin. I’ve looked on,one and found round trip transfers range from around 75€ to 140 € (as if!). Does anybody know the average cost (one way) for a taxi? There are 2 of us. Thanks for any help.

Try Airlink 747 bus. I think it cost 7euros a piece to the city center.

We prefer to take a taxi because of luggage and age. Plus the airlink bus would require a taxi to the hotel.

The car return area isn't on the airport proper but about a half mile away on Swords Road. Trying to connect with the Airink shuttle would require a return to the airport ... probably more of a pain than it's worth.
One way taxis from the airport into central Dublin will cost about 25-30 Euros for 2 people plus luggage. Am sure someone at the kiosk at the rental car return can call one for you for door to door service.
