I am planning on taking the family to Ireland for the first this june/July after school finishes. Any suggestion as to when I should begin looking for flights and what I should expect to pay. Right now flights for the end of June are running just under $1000. Thanks,

I'm not an expert on the timing, but having flown Aer Lingus from JFK twice, I can say I have no complaints about the airline. Very good experience each time. In Shannon airport the staff seemed a bit friendlier, probably just because it's a smaller airport; in Dublin everyone was also quite helpful.
Keep in mind Norwegian Air will be flying out of Stewart airport soon and I estimate the rt cost to be a little over $410...feel free to contact me my wife and I have spent 41 days in Ireland the last three years and have completed almost the entire Wild Atlantic Way.
