After Ireland for 1 week

Hi,
Six of us, young adults and 2 moms, will be in Ireland for a week and then have one more week before flying out of London. I'm looking for suggestions for first time travelers to Europe in May. Any thoughts?

Depending on your interests, London has enough sights and activities to easily occupy you for a week, and there are options for nearby day trips (Hampton Court, Kew Gardens, Greenwich, etc.) or farther-out day trips (Bath, for example). Otherwise, the rest of the UK (Scotland, Lake District, Yorkshire, etc.) could easily occupy your time.

Are you planning on driving, or using public transport once you've left Ireland? Do you favor an urban or rural environment? Do you fancy museums, castles, Iron-age stone circles, mountains/hills, seaside, shopping?

You can extend your range by adding a budget flight in there. Paris and the surroundings and London can be done in a week. Check for budget flights online before you go. Otherwise, spending an extra week in England can be easily filled up with cities like Bath, York, and London. To get a visual to help make that decision, you might try watching some of Rick's shows. I hope this helps some.
