We will be driving to Glendalough via the military road from Dublin next June. We don’t want to feel rushed and have a really long drive after Glendalough. Need ideas on where to spend the night before heading to the Lismore area the day after. Thanks!

I don’t know about Enniscorthy, but if you want to stay in Enniskerry, about five minutes from Powerscourt, I can highly recommend the Ferndale B&B. It has a very friendly and accommodating owner (we called her that morning to see if there was an open room, and she welcomed us even though she had a rather large family gathering at the house that night), great breakfast, and is right across the street from a wonderful pub with good food and a warm fireplace.
