Aer Lingus from Seattle

Another question.....

I am planning a trip to Dublin from Seattle in the spring and Aer Lingus has a non stop flight. I can get tickets in the mid $600's for their Smart fare. Has anyone found tickets for less???? I hate to wait to buy since it seems a great price. At the same time, my frugal side wonders if it is too soon to purchase for a trip in 8 months......

thanks much!

That’s a great price. I would snatch it up before it disappears. From Seattle you are not likely to find a cheaper fare, especially a nonstop one.

RT for under $700 sounds like a fare to pounce on.

Coach fare r/t to Hawaii is more

EDIT-- after seeing your other topic, it appears your destination is actually Lisbon? If so, I would modify my comment to 'pounce' on a SEA-LIS fare.

RT - that is a great price.

Another option is looking at the cost of 2 one way tickets - SEA-DUB and DUB-SEA.

We got our one-way ticket non-stop from SEA-DUB for $200.

It's a good price; however, if you have TSA pre-check, you need to specifically contact the airline to give them your TSA #; there was no place on their website to enter the number when I booked my flight about six months ago. When I got to the Sea-Tac last month, I wasn't allowed to go through pre-check since it was not noted by the airline and only the airline can get you through -- so off came the hiking boots, out came the camera, tablet, liquids, etc. They may have changed their website in the meantime to allow you to enter your number. I ended up booking them because my frugal side thought it was too early to book a flight through my normal carrier 8 months in advance. My mistake! The flights were ridiculously expensive - fortunately Aer Lingus had just started up their flights and the price was affordable. The staff was very friendly. In economy, 1st checked bag is free, second is $100. You can pay extra for an exit row. Beverages can be purchased but you may wish to use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees. Happy traveling!

I purchased our RT non stop flights on Aer Lingus about 6 weeks ago because the total price of about $1300 for 2 people seemed too good to be true. We are not traveling until May of 2019, but I kept seeing travel articles about hikes in air fare, so I decided to grab it. We paid $1500 PP when we flew to Europe a few years back, so I was very happy to pay for what I saw as such a good deal. Your price, similar to mine, still seems like a great deal to me. Good luck with your decision!

That's close to what I paid for a ticket out of San Diego a year and a half ago (mine wasn't non-stop). I remember checking back occasionally after I purchased it, just to see if I could have done better on price, and I never saw anything lower. I would go for it. Just check the terms, of course. I was able to select my seat without paying extra (and was able to change it later without penalty, though I did have to go through their agents for the seat change, I couldn't do it myself on the site). Not sure that still applies.
