Hi - Looking for feedback on Aer Lingus vs other major airlines to Dublin. Their rates are quite a bit lower but just curious as to whether it's worth it to spend more to fly major airlines (like United, Delta, etc.). Thanks.
If you prefer to spend more for worse service United, Delta, and American will be able to accommodate your needs better than Aer Lingus.
here's a previous forum discussion on Aer Lingus:

Autumn 2013 we flew on Aer Lingus from Rome to Dublin (A320) and Dublin to Chicago (A330) and it was pleasant throughout.
Aer Lingus offered the best fares for our return trip from Rome to Portland, and we're glad we chose it. We turned the connection in Dublin into a two-night stopover, which added a nice postscript to our trip.
Check each airline's website for rules on size and weight allowances for checked and carry-on bags; allowances on US carriers are usually more generous.
I took Aer Lingus on a non-stop from L.A. to Dublin and I'm glad I did! It was on time and the service was great! On long flights, in flight service does make a difference, and they put our domestic airlines to shame.
Andrea - Our family used Aer Lingus from Phoenix to Dulblin in 2012 and it was just fine. The prices met our budget and the service was better than Delta, United US Airways and American.
Aer Lingus is still seen to be Ireland's 'national carrier' (although Ryanair is a far larger airline these days). As such, it still tries to carry a certain cachet, that includes fair quality service and aircraft. Certainly not one to avoid or worry about.
