I've booked Aer Lingus flight from Heathrow to Shannon to start RS Ireland tour in September 2026. I now hear horror stories about Aer Lingus cancelling flights at the last minute. What is best way to get through to the airline to reschedule?

To be on the safe side it is always a good idea to plan on arriving at your destination the day before your tour leaves.

If you made the reservation less than 24 hours ago, you can cancel online at no charge.
BTW, any airline can cancel a flight at the last minute.

To contact the airline, either download their app or call the number provided on your email confirmation. Do not just Google the airline for a phone number. There are too many bogus companies that pop up claiming to be the "official" airline.
As mentioned above, you always hear the horror stories, not the millions of travelers who have no issues.
According to Flightaware, of the 3 daily Aer Lingus departures from Heathrow to Shannon in the past 12 days there were no cancellations and only 1 late arrival of 45 minutes. I hope this eases your mind.
