Advice on hotel and attraction for 24 hours in Dublin

I'm planning my first trip to Europe and while the majority of my time will be in Austria and Germany, I'm planning fly through Dublin and will be there for about 24-30 hours before heading back to the states. I'd love to see a few highlights while in town...I'm thinking maybe a HOPO bus tour and/or Guinness and dinner/evening entertainment at a local pub. I enjoy photography, architecture, and music, but open to other ideas as well. I'm also looking for suggestions for hotels near the city center that also provide a shuttle to the airport. Or would a HOPO come out as far as the airport?
Thanks in advance!

We move quickly when we have little time and we had about the same amount of time We prioritized the Gaol and the Natural History Museum and fit in a bit of a walk around some other highlights. We stayed in an Airbnb about 20 mins from the airport and the owners drove us to the airport in the am for about 20 euros.

You can take the #41 city bus to the airport for 3,30euro. It takes a few minutes longer than the other buses, but it's 1/3 the price.

I recommend Arlington Hotel, they have live music in their pub at night and also the Celtic Nights dinner and Show located there..not to be missed.
Guinness Brewery while nice is not actually a tour but more of a showcase of advertisement...but still interesting. View from the observatory at the top on a nice day is great.
St Stephen's Green and a pint or 2 somewhere in the Temple Bar area.
Enjoy
