I am hoping you can help me .
Next July I will be driving anti clockwise around Ireland from Dublin.
On my last full day I will explore Powerscourt Estate in the afternoon.
The next day at 11am I need to return the hire car at Dublin airport
before taking an afternoon flight.
I am trying to work out the best place to stay for my final evening.
Do I choose somewhere to stay in Bray, or the Wicklow mountains or
near Dublin airport ? My budget is 200 euros.
Happy to hear all suggestions .

For pre-return flights from Dublin to the US I've stayed in Malahide (about a 15 minute drive to the airport) and Trim, about 45 minutes. Both have decent restaurants and nice areas to stroll. They also have the advantage of avoiding the M50 on the morning of your departure.

Malahide would be my choice as well. It’s a great place to stay, will give you a castle finale for your final day in Ireland and is just a 50-minute drive from Powerscourt Estate.
With a car to return, you’ll be better off waking up on the north side of Dublin where the airport is located on the day of your return flight home.
