9 Day Itinerary suggestions

My sister and I (both of us are Irish decent) are traveling to Ireland the first part of May. We fly into Dublin airport where we pick up our car. We have vouchers for 7 nights in BnBs. We would like to make the most of our trip as we don't know when we would be able to return. I would really like some suggestions on the best sites to see that would gives us the real Irish experience. Thank you.

What do you consider a "real Irish experience?" What are your interests? History? Archeology? Photography? Museums? My first suggestion would be to buy Ricks guidebook on Ireland. Don't work for the man but I'll surmise from the composition of your post that you've done little if any research. If you took time to read the guidebook you'd see there's a lot to explore. His practical insight might help you decide what interests you and help decipher how to get there.

We're in the process of planning a 10.5 day trip ourselves. Rick suggests with 9 days doing 3 days in Dublin, a day in Kilkenny/Cashel, 2 days in Dingle, a day for Burren and Cliffs of Moher, and 2 days for Aran Islands and Galway.

As far as the "real Irish experience" I agree that that depends on your interests. Do you like natural scenery and historical sites? Music nut or foodie? City or country? Outdoorsy activies or relaxing?
