8 nights in Ireland - Itinerary recommendations

We finally decided and will be in Ireland in early September (10 days/8 nights). We will arrive in Dublin early (10:30AM) and have a hotel on the outskirts for that first night. I asked for general recommendations for a slightly shorter trip a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty much unanimous that besides Dublin, we should go to Dingle. Right now we are thinking of spending that first day/night in Dublin, leaving the next day for Dingle, and then it's wide open, other than ending back in Dublin for at least another full day before returning. Just started reviewing the RS guidebook and the recommendations there (for 7 days) are:
3 days Dublin
Dingle
Galway/County Clare/Burren

Would like to see what you think, how many days in each location, and especially what other locations/areas might be worth the time. We will have a car the entire time btw. Also, we would like to play one round of golf somewhere, so would appreciate any ideas on that too. Last, we will be staying in B&Bs outside of Dublin ... yes, your thoughts and experiences would help too.

Thanks to all in advance!

Don't miss the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare. Doolin is a center of Irish traditional music , too. Spend at least one night in Doolin.

Kilkenny is our favorite area, along with Dingle and Kinsale. All different, all lovely. There are several itinerary posts recently with good recommendations/replies. Would be worth your while to spend a little while reading those.
