8-9 day itinerary help (southern ireland)

My husband and I are planning a 8-9 day trip to explore Southern Ireland in early July. We'd love advice on a doable itinerary; we’d rather spend more time in fewer places than hustle trying to take it all in. We're comfortable driving in Europe and have a high value on small towns, live music and great hikes. We haven't booked flights yet so we are open to flying in to places besides Dublin, if we can. Thanks!

It would be good if you could book open jaw. Fly into Dublin and out of Shannon. Then you could do the south and southwest.....Kilkenny, Kinsale and Dingle.

Your query is a bit vague though, so if you have specific questions, ask away.
We spent 7 nights last summer, just in Dingle and Killarney, but we flew into and out of Shannon.

Diveloonie - Thanks! Updated my query. Yes, would love to know how many nights you spent in each place and what you might have changed - if anything!

Mmanderson,
I wrote a trip report on our time in Ireland last summer. It was my second visit there.
Use the search function and put in Ireland trip reports
