7.5 hour layover in Dublin - what to do?

We have a 7.5-hour layover in Dublin (arr. 5:15am). Should we just kill time at the airport, or head into Dublin for a few hours, or do something near the airport? Thanks.

Assuming that your bags will be checked thru and that you're unencumbered, you should have enough time to clear the arrival procedures and make your way into town for a few hours without cutting it too close.
Can either take the Airlink shuttle or, if there are 2 of you, a taxi for the convenience of door to door service. The Airlink costs about 6 euro apiece while a taxi to St. Stephens Green runs about 25 euro. Once at the Green you can stretch your legs for a few hours and generally explore Grafton St., Trinity College, and the Temple Bar area as the city is waking up. Most things will be closed but the lack of crowds would be an attraction in itself.
Might be a pleasant way to kill a few hours - better than a long layover at the airport at any rate.
