I am reseraching a 6 month auto rental/lease in Ireland. Does anyone out there have experience in finding such an option?

As a last resort, you could return and re-rent every 30 days from regular providers. Given prices, I'd be tempted to buy a used car and simply sell it at the end of the trip. You might find that car dealers might do a short lease or long rental. Sorry - not much real help.
