6 days in August is Dingle a must-see?

I have been planning the Ireland leg of our August family vacation and am overwhelmed! I have posted before and have received so many valuable tips but am torn about Dingle. I hear the scenery and music are so worth it. Please advise if we should focus on Dingle and give it at least 3-4 days with 2 days in Dublin. thank you!

Dingle town is good, the Slea Head Loop is the real highlight. I did not think the music scene in Dingle was especially strong, but maybe we just did not hit the right places. Ennis was great for traditional music on both our 2002 trip and again in 2016. Dublin is worth two full days, not just two nights. Dingle Peninsula is great but it's not the Holy Grail of Irish travel or anything. I think the Wicklow Mountains, Kilkenny, Rock of Cashel could also be a great way to spend the extra time not in Dublin. Skipping Dublin and spending the time in County Clare and Dingle Peninsula would be a reasonable plan as well, with such limited time.

How many days total are you spending in Ireland? What do you enjoy doing? We really enjoyed Dingle and spent 2 nights there. For us that was enough. We walked around the town, did the Fungi boat ride, drove the slea head, did the bee hives etc. The only thing that we had planned on doing that we dropped was horseback riding on the beach.

Loved Dingle and driving the Dingle Peninsula was a great ride.
Walking around Dingle town was a lovely little town and just as I imagined.
We were only there 1 full day.
